Customer Reviews
Custom Map Maker experience
I used the Custom Map Maker to create a Personalised Map Gift for my husband's favorite trail. The online tool was fairly intuitive to use, letting me select the exact area I wanted. It took about three days for them to print and dispatch it, which was reasonable for a custom item. Delivery to Texas then took another four days. The map arrived well-packaged. The fabric feels robust, and the colors are vibrant, matching what I saw on screen. We took it on a hike, and it held up against sweat and a light drizzle, still perfectly legible. It folds up small, which is great. It's definitely more convenient than a paper map that tears or gets soggy. I'd recommend it for anyone wanting a durable, personalized map.
Good map, delivery could be faster
I ordered a USGS Fabric Map for a trip last month. The map itself is really good quality, felt durable, and the print was clear. It washed up well after getting muddy. My only gripe was that delivery took almost a week to get to me in Oregon, which felt a bit long. Overall, I'm satisfied with the product, but shipping could be a bit quicker.
Cool idea, works well
Got a National Park Map for a friend's birthday. It's a fabric map, which is pretty neat. He loved it. Said it was easy to carry and he didn't have to worry about it getting wet. Came pretty fast too.
Reliable for outdoor use
This was my third order from Splendid, this time a Cycling Map. As usual, the quality was consistent with my previous purchases. I've always found their maps to be really useful on the trail, they don't get destroyed in the rain like paper ones. This one was for a new route I'm planning, and the detail is spot on. They always deliver on time, which is why I keep coming back.
